Tomb Raider Chronology & Timeline of Media

Playing Tomb Raider in Chronological order, considering the reboot series places itself first, would be ridiculous. For the full Tomb Raider experience, I believe it should be played by order of release. The true joy in discovering the Tomb Raider back catalogue is discovering it’s influence and legacy and the long list of features that the series has introduced to the industry. Unfortunately, this is Chronology Trigger, so everything is in order of story timeline, whether it’s a reboot or a remake. KNEEL BEFORE ME, THE GOD OF TIME, FOR EVEN THE GREATEST CHAMPIONS SHALL FALL BY MY HAND.

Lara Croft. Without her, what would ridiculously breasted women cosplay as at Comic-cons?

Sorry, I don’t know what came over me there.

As you may know, the canon for Tomb Raider, which has been reinvented entirely on three separate occasions, is very very loose. When considering this list I have tried to paint the most accurate picture of a career Tomb Raider at the start, peak and end of their career.

As is typical of Top-Cow/Image comics, the art and design of the starring Lara Croft as the Tomb Raider and the Lara Croft, Tomb Raider comics was lush, ornate and shamelessly over-sexualised.

Duck-face and awful script aside, Angelina Jolie had a bloody good crack at transferring Lara’s venomous wit onto the screen. But next time, let’s get a real English Rose on the case. You don’t see 007 being played by Brad Pitt, do ya.

Legend Series

Has anyone really had to fight an Octupus before? Has anyone had any reason to? I thought Octopuses were just friendly sentient blobs but it seems to be a common thing in Gaming and Movies. Seems a little one-sided a fight. I’m not a tough guy but if an Octopus 1v1’d me irl I reckon I’d put that fucker straight in the ground.
